0 Woolly Beach-heather (Hudsonia tomentosa) looks like 6" (15cm) tall junipers. I loved seeing the little plants holding the dunes together at Crane Beach, in MA. 5 Pitch Pines (Pinus resinosa) at Crane Beach in MA. Leaves needle-like in bundles of 3 (2 for Red, 5 for White Pine), are thick and stiff like Red Pine.
