One cool thing with having little quips where characters react to stuff is that you can show character development directly in the core gameplay loop, instead of just in cutscenes (e.g. a character going from permanent survivor's guilt to the determination + dad jokes combo)

All of this... and counting! Each Combat Chef has a specialty in a few ingredients, but some (like Combat Chef Jemin) is a Breakfast Specialist, choosing GladiEATers to make a perfectly balanced Breakfast. I mention this for... no reason. .
