Continuing to play around with my #FluorescenceFriday #SciArt 🔬 between meetings - here is the multicolor collage of the #DevBio 🫁 alveoli image I posted this AM 🧪 I see a lot of creepy faces in this configuration 😱

I don't get to see a dividing immune cell often so being able to capture this is so cool to me. Apparently, mitosis can be light sensitive, so that might explain why every time I tried to image them with a confocal, they either didn't divide or just stopped and reversed back.

For #FluorescenceFriday - fresh off the 🔬 image as part of a molecular connectomics experiment that I am super stoked about from Maddie Abramson, @rphillips3.bsky.social @jorge-miranda.bsky.social and Stephanie Page - labeling hippocampal neurons projecting to the lateral septum in the mouse 🧠

Quick #FluorescenceFriday post to show off these beautiful orexin neurons in the perifornical area of the lateral hypothalamus (red) in the rat brain. This small population of neurons plays a major role in regulation of sleep, feeding, and arousal. Image credit to @odrake.bsky.social
