hello Olmo! Hope you've had a great summer! Wilson is intriguing. I think he starts most games, to be fair. But he doesn't look fully up to speed just yet - I tend to agree with the above that Farke likes Aaronson, and he's super for, and Aaronson will spell Wilson in that sort of RAM role.
I think Wilson starts all three - but gets less than 75 minutes in at least two of the three. He will be on some corners (maybe not all, as Stach may inswing from one side). I actually like Enzo Le Fee for the first three more - reckon Sunderland have better fixtures & he's on pens & > xMins 👍
GW23-34 looks our best run but that's second half of the season. GW1-6 does look decent but I'd be fully prepared for early subs with Wilson - that's just my take. Leeds have James, Aaronson, Gnonto, and probably a new offensive signing on the way too. Farke won't run Wilson into the ground.
let's be totally clear though - generally speaking, Wilson has been brought in to take Aaronson's job, provide more technical quality, and overall, Aaronson will largely be an option off the bench. Or when we opt for a 4-2-3-1 within games potentially. The lineup in most games will be ...
Trafford
Bogle-Rodon-Bijol-Tarik-Justin
Ampadu-Stach
Wilson-DCL-Okafor
Gabe is injured or else he'd replaced Justin. Okafor not quite fully match for so likely sits GW1 - I'd imagine Dan James or Nmecha will start on the left at Forest. They're trying to sign another LW to compete with Okafor.
I'll amend the above. It looks like Aaronson will start on the left at Forest (and that may persist until Okafor is ready). That may push Wilson's xMins up slightly, as his main threat currently is Dan James, who is not really a suitable inside winger in the Wilson mould. Of course ...
... it's still possible that at any point he could sub Wilson off for Okafor or Nmecha, and put Aaronson on the right. I still reckon Wilson is a 75 minute man for the first few weeks, personally.
