Perhaps it's a daily record - like a rollcall - of who is here and who isn't. Except I don't always take a photo first thing in the morning. And not everyone has lined up yet. And when I'm not here anymore, there will be no record to view. I've heard there may be rain later in the week, which is good if lightning doesn't accompany it. This is high fire danger season, and so many families have lost everything, already. But not here. Not now. But the latter half of August and the first half of September is when we have to worry the most at this location. You will see the smoky skies again, if I'm here to report it.
