A beautiful Magnolia Warbler (Setophaga magnolia) is #BirdoftheDay for the theme #warblers. I love photographing warblers in our shallow backyard pond and it’s almost that time of year again!

A colorful Magnolia Warbler is facing right, standing in a depression in a rounded beige rock in shallow water about to bathe. He has a gray head with a black mask, white above and below his eye, a bright yellow throat, chest and underside, with a streaky black “necklace”. White wing bars and white patches in the tail feathers also are identifying features of this very pretty little bird.
