His peace plan is too soft on Hamas. Israel can't afford to have some 'committee' run by Palestinians (maybe secretly loyal to Hamas) 'keeping the weapons'. Israel has been down similar roads, trusting the other side will do right, only to be made a fool of later, e.g., Egypt & the peace treaty.
