Forget unnecessary libraries! A direct use of HTTP clients like Req for AI APIs keeps things simple and efficient.

For me, Req is the default choice these days. It’s simple, batteries-included and fits nicely with the way I tend to write application code. I’d pick Tesla for a more involved, reusable API client where the middleware/adapter architecture becomes useful.
