It is swimming right to left and has its reflection fully visible in front of it; giving it an a start shape, almost like a fish. The sun is casting a metallic golden/orange/yellow colour along the entire lake surface; which is calm apart from small ripple around the bird. There are two small, bare stems of a plant in the right hand foreground which take up the whole right side of the picture.
