#watched DON'T DELIVER US FROM EVIL (1971) Loosely based on the same real-life crime that inspired Peter Jackson's HEAVENLY CREATURES, this French film follows two Catholic schoolgirls whose exploits quickly escalate from cruel pranks to murder. Not a comfortable watch (in multiple ways).

There's also the casting of a 20-year-old actress who looks and plays 14 and then staging not one but two violent and graphic attempted-rape sequences in which the perpetrators are much older men. Yikes.

We need a name for this genre that focuses on young women or girls murdering within a framework of Catholic repression and occult. Alucarda, Don't Deliver Us From Evil, Satanico Pandemonium (and others I'm probably forgetting). Seems Nunsploitation adjacent but is definitely different.
