Also for stat people do shots that hit the post or crossbar count as on target shots or effect xG or it's soley position of the shot

They are not considered shots on target, and they do not affect xG. The drivers of xG: - Distance from goal - Angle to goal - Key pass type - Play phase (buildup, counterattack, etc) - Body part (head, foot) - Defender positioning
