Oh wow, that crest is incredible! Such a lucky spot for Swansea, must have been amazing to see in person.

Steve and myself saw that bird and what a confiding bird it was, feeding just feet away from all the birders and photographers unbelievable.

Beautiful, I have been lucky to witness them, in several places around the world, yet I ‘m jealous as I have not had the opportunity to get this close, Congrats 🍾

This one made my year 2018 at Ardmillan South Ayrshire Scotland, very approachable which resulted in many images. #BirdOfTheDay #Birds #rarevisitors #ukwildlife

I remember when this beauty visited. It clearly had no fear of people and seemed to be thriving pecking up insects on the foreshore. Stayed for about a week but vanished when a storm blew in. I hope it survived elsewhere. It was a real treat to see it

Grwat photo!!! Such fabulous looking birds, the crest is remarkable. I got a very blurdy photo of one in Sri Lanka as we were leaving Yala B-1 at dusk and that was the only time I’ve seen one!

Always love it when a hoopoe turns up - often in people’s gardens! Nice capture
