This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Albertaceratops. In August 2001, Michael J. Ryan found a skull and postcranial fragments. In 2007, Ryan formally named and described the fossil Albertaceratops nesmoi. He described it as the most basal centrosaurine. 1/2

2/2 In 2010, Ryan et al, thought they had found a bonebed in the Judith River Formation. Further study determined those were a different, but closely related species, Medusaceratops.
