And acutely aware this post is preaching to the converted in at least two senses. One, Hegseth is thoroughly wrongheaded on the issue, and two, he thinks "evolution is the silliest idea in the world." No monkey has anything to teach him.

It is embarassing to these men they want to identify with a secretion as if they are some kind of insect humping a bottle rather than a being capable of reason and free choice. Do they even hear themselves? Who would want to believe their fundamental nature to be a biochemical juice?
