For this week's #FridayFling I have cook over bake, and then it's vibes. Oh and "Aphidoidea" is Darien's, um, pet name for Lyla. Yes, he is calling her an aphid. He found her amidst his roses, after all. 🙃😅

What I learned very quickly was that the kitchen on the base was not just there for show. There was a sharp blip of sound when Darien took a knife from one of the drawers. I looked around, saw nothing, and then he was chopping vegetables with a panache which distracted me from the noise. The vegetables went into a large pan over a heat source built into the counter. He added various spices and an aroma rose which served to make my stomach growl louder. “Yeah, yeah. Patience, Aphidoidea.” “What?” “You can’t rush culinary genius. Make yourself useful and set the table.” Culinary genius had his hair tied back and wore a dark cotton apron. He was focused on whatever he was creating, so I did as I was told. I found cutlery and place-mats and put them on the table, setting them opposite each other across the length. There were also coasters and I found short glassware which I filled with cold water from the refrigerator dispenser. I took a healthy gulp from one glass, topped it up, and them put both on the table.
