WIPSnips 10 Aug: admit #AndinoAndina #specfic OUT NOW!

It was late, so Manolo showed Tonio where the wood for the wood-burning stove was stored before wishing us a good night and a pleasant stay.
“He's not driving back now, is he?” I was concerned, knowing only too well the crazy hours some Mexicans worked.
“I shouldn't think so,” Bron chuckled. “He lives with friends in town.”
“That's okay then.” I let out a sigh of relief. I admit I was fishing a little, wanting to know if Bron slept or lived anywhere in our physical world. He didn’t bite.

Love that line: "Except here, with you two." Captures that quiet vulnerability of finding your people. Where are you in the process with this one still drafting or further along?

It was published 6 May this year.

Oh, congratulations! That's wonderful published just a few months ago. How has the reception been so far? Are you working on something new now, or still focused on getting this one out into the world?

Both. I'm working on something completely different (still spec fic), and on this one gaining some traction in the world. Andino Andina is the first in a trilogy/quadrilogy.

That's the best kind of balancing act. A trilogy (or quadrilogy!) is such a commitment, but it also means you get to live in that world for a while longer. Are you finding the new project refreshing after spending so much time in Andino Andina's world, or is it still connected?
