The Secretary General, has arrived in Mongolia for #COP17 of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification. Mongolia became a Contracting Party to the Convention on Wetlands on 8 April 1998. Today, the country has 11 designated #RamsarSites, covering a total surface area of 1,439,530 hectares.
