May I ask what you mean? That they aren't being subtle or them being a couple? I've honestly rooted for them for years. Them being interspecies friends makes me feel seen because I'm in a mixed relationship with my bf and mixed couple relationships aren't SUPER super common

I want to say that's most likely it, but the literal director of the movies is super active with the Zootopia fandom. He openly teases people who ship them and keeps going "Will they? Won't they?" And he's implied in the third movie something big is coming
