#OTD On August 14, 1904, the Battle off Ulsan occurred four days after the Yellow Sea when the Russian Vladivostok squadron tried to link up with the trapped Port Arthur fleet but was intercepted and defeated by the Japanese Navy. Japan won, sinking the cruiser Rurik.
