My oven’s been on the blink but if I try lighting it over & over, sometimes it lights. (The local repairer has taken more than 2 months & it’s still not fixed 🤦🏻‍♀️) This morning I got lucky & made Swedish apple, almond & cardamom cake with #homegrown apples

Sounds like that little flame failure detector probe rod is not in the flame. Lion had that problem with his gas oven for a while .just had to reposition the probe a bit until it was in the flame even when the thermostat turned it down. It was fine after that. :)

We checked but that wasn’t it. It’s weird that it comes on but then goes out again - sometimes straight away & sometimes after 5 minutes. I think it’s possibly something to do with air flow 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some similar issues with our range. The stove guy said it was a plumber/ gas supply issue rather than the stove so maybe try that? Might be quicker!

We’ve got bottled gas & the burners are fine so I don’t think it’s that. Here in Port Lincoln, the company that does gas oven repairs are the plumbing & gas people, too.

The plumbing & gas company have finally (allegedly) ordered the spare parts they said they needed about 6 weeks ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ Repair booked in for Wednesday this week but I’m not holding my breath.
