A male Common Yellowthroat with a striking, black "bandit" face mask across his eyes and cheeks, a bright yellow throat and chest, olive-brown upperparts, and a thin whitish border line above the black mask. This small warbler landed high up on a brown branch of a tree along the walking trail. There were more brown branches, green leaves, and blue sky in the background. Seen at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord, Massachusetts.
