Deze scholekster zat graag zo vlak naast de snelweg, want ik kon wachten dat hij weet op het gele wegmarkering ging zitten. In mijn een-minuut-filmpje www.petersprinciple.nl/maasvlakte/ heb ik ze ook vliegend boven de havenkranen. Interessant hoe al die vogels zich daar handhaafden. Maar rond de olietanks worden meeuwen wel weggejaagd om te voorkomen dat ze boeden en beschermd moeten worden. 394 This oystercatcher liked sitting right next to the highway, because I could expect it to land on the yellow road markings again. In my one-minute video www.petersprinciple.nl/maasvlakte/, I also have them flying above the harbor cranes. It is interesting how all those birds managed to hold their own there. But around the oil tanks, seagulls are chased away to prevent them from breeding and needing to be protected.
