If we ever go back to "normal", I hope the new normal includes stores stocking a min of 60 to 70% Canadian-made /produced goods (where possible) & legislation limiting all foreign equity firms, especially U.S. from complete takeovers of Cdn biz without gov review & public notification to oppose.

We've lost so many Canadian businesses to U.S. equity firms buying them up & either moving ops completely out of country or shutting them down altogether to eliminate competition & make us more dependent on the U.S. It's BS.

America doesn’t want to go back to normal. It wants to screw over its trading partners. Canada won’t go back to the old normal either. We are turning away from the US and discovering that we can be strong, independent and successful regardless. The US doesn’t respect its allies anymore. Fuck that.

They've going to have a long wait as we know they only want our money back not us. We've moved on, finding new places to go domestically & internationally. We've also found new Canadian products to buy as well as finding alternatives to US products from around the world from new trading partners.
