I’m sorry to hear that. As I say in my book, the loss of any college is a loss to all of us. I hope your college can still turn things around.

We will see. They have been trying for decades, and I think the only thing really keeping them afloat is the fact they were the first in the world to grant degrees to women. It's been a shame to see other women's colleges shuttering, though.

I agree. Women’s colleges fill a unique need. As the higher education ecosystem grows less diverse, we all suffer. Nice to meet a fellow goth BTW. 🖤

Oh super cool! Hi, hi! Yay gothness! They do, yes. For many of us (especially when I was in college 20 years ago) it felt like a safe space. It was a great place for those of us who focused on study, and for us to be able to express ourselves without fear of being too loud or too much. I miss it.
