Got some lovely (inadvertent) ant photos when my camera absolutely refused to allow me to get sharp photos of their farmed insects in their various instars. Love your elegant antennae, and distinguished mandible whiskers! Also those long glossy brown hind legs. 🐜🖤🐜

A black ant with startlingly large eyes and well developed mandibles farms an invertebrate colony on a Euonymus japonicus ‘Microphyllus Aureovariegatus’. The white exudate is a defence mechanism from the shrub.
