Two lemons poem. Two Lemons I gave away two lemons to my favorite neighbor, Plus a peanut butter wafer to enjoy later, A few hours after, a curious phenomenon, Another friend asked, “Would you like my two lemons?” The friend was leaving town, Offering me two lemons before they turn brown, My analytical mind was confused, My grateful heart could not refuse. Two lemons out, two lemons in, Bouncing back at the same speed as lightning, If I selflessly share, Is the universe automatically fair? Two lemons out, two lemons in, Was the divine communicating? Giving and receiving create a flow, Things come and things go. Two lemons out, something else in, What returns could be a different thing, A giving heart starts a cycle of goodness, Just be kind; the universe takes care of the rest. April 29, 2023
