Flights for National’s failed coup likely cost taxpayers $35k+ (stuff.co.nz)

Based on back-of-an-envelope calculations, Air NZ searches, assumptions, & a bit of wriggle room, Stuff has estimated the cost of flights for National’s failed coup.

I bent over and Luxon again used his taxpayer credit card to swipe it for a 3 hour meeting about absolutely nothing 35k gone, just like that 1x entitled PM gone in November #nzpol www.stuff.co.nz/politics/361...

I'm just confused by this, it's clearly national party business not government business, why would the tax payer be paying for it

Because the National Party treat the taxpayers like an ATM
Pales into insignificance in comparison with what his three year has cost the taxpayer. For someone who [obviously falsely] claimed to be outraged by our national debt, he's done a multibillion dollar job of extending it.
