FPL_Martin · 1 · 1d ago I think I’ll be captaining Haaland GW1 (H) then Bruno GW2 (H, promoted team) then Haaland GW3 (ditto). GW4 think I’m on FH so likely to be Cole/JP.
It's 0.16 difference. If you're coughing up 15.5 you're captaining him.

Think analytics often treated as gospel, by myself included. Thus seeing it laid bare like this, that Fernandes is a better (c) than Haaland GW1/2 and thus those that (c) Haaland are going against the best predicted outcome, is interesting.
Not seen many Haaland drafts (c)’ing Bruno.

As discussed elsewhere, I’m leaning toward no Haaland early, have him no later than GW5. And one of my leading thoughts with that is he’s best (c) 1 of 4 / 2 of 5. Paying £15.5m to not (c) feels wastefully defensive.
I totally appreciate this thinking, and agree that the opportunity is there to take the Robot on, especially if you feel you wouldnt captain him.
I assume they are predicting non perfect mins for Haaland?
If they get the same mins for GW1, I think Haaland is slightly above Bruno for me. Bruno the clear standout in GW2, but if you are only going to (c) him that week, you could just (c) Mbuemo instead and spread the money.

Know others disagree but I think that’s fair, though. Can’t see him starting CS and thus can’t see 90 subsequently GW1.
Yeah, thats fair. I’m waiting for CS to make my decision on Haaland. If I’m not confident he starts and gets good mins GW1, I won’t captain him that week, so I’ll go with a no Haaland draft to start.

No idea, haven’t seen that one (and don’t use Solio bar looking at this).
I presume if Haaland plays 45 and scores in the CS it will change, too.
The talisman of a good side against a newly promoted side that potentially could have 10-15 new players a week before the season starts. It just seems like not captaining Bruno is overthinking things.
Have to say I’m very suprised how Haaland (c) everyone is. But if spending £15.5m guess you’re backing yourself into a corner, a bit.
When the inevitable, inevitable, posts come for Haaland, should be remembered (as it stands) that Bruno projected higher.
