An espaliered pear tree against a brick wall at Fairgreen Farm in the Cotswolds, UK space-saving horticulture technique was highly valued in England gardens on South facing walls as the sun’s heat was trapped by the brick and brings on the fruit early.

The Dolgo crab apple growing this evening between Woolston and Yarlington, Somerset. Very tart and sharp when eaten raw off the branch, they possess a high sugar and pectin content. This makes them excellent for brewing local Somerset country ciders.

That's great!
In a damp year, do you wind up with bacterial problems on the interior foliage? I can't imagine hitting this nice brick wall with a big splash of Bordeaux.
