I know there's a lot of people doing pretend tubemaps but I like to think I'm working with the essence of the original. The idea is from Simon Patterson's 'The Great Bear' from 1992. We were on holiday as kids in the New Forest and it was in a gallery in Lyndhurst and I was captivated.

The idea of exploring a real and virtual place all at once I still find electric. Of course now I'm a grown up I know about psychogeography and how place makes you feel, tho m'colleague @soniaoverall.bsky.social tells me what I'm actually doing here is 'schizocartography'. Cool.
