I called up Ivan Berry, Michie's manager, to see if she wanted to open for us. Ivan offered Louie and Q, who Ivan had just started managing. In the next year or two, Dream Warriors would have a couple huge hit singles, a silver record in the UK, a gold record in Canada, and a #1 (Ichiban) in Japan.

Louie and Q were dancers for Michie's live show, and I met them in the studio when they did background vocals for Michie's single. MC Lyte was also there to do a guest verse performance.

This was one of Dream Warriors first downtown shows. Not too many people knew of them outside of Jane and Finch. I knew them as Louie and Q from recording and mixing the Michie Mee and LA Luv single "Victory is Calling"/"On this Mic" (First Priority Music 1988/ Atlantic Records) at Wellesley.
