Epic Games Store will get a Linux version sometime "soon" (gamingonlinux.com)
Epic Games recently did an AMA (Ask me anything) in the community Discord server, confirming that a Linux / SteamOS version of the Epic Games Store is coming.

I hope it will include the Unreal Engine bits so that I can download my assets from the former "Epic Marketplace," now Fab, without having to boot up that VirtualBox Windows clanker every time :)
Big news if it actually happens, does this mean they may actually support native Linux builds of games then? That was one of the big deal breakers for me, but shitty AI loving CEO does not help matters either 😒

I thought he had a stick up his ass because of Valve using Linux as a springboard towards their own platform. Turns out I was wrong... huh.
They will also probably make their own Linux os tbh if tim Sweeney is doing what I think he's doing
I wouldn't put it past him for that tbh.
Hopefully this means some good downstream improvements for Arch/KDE.
Neat, but I think I would rather put my money into GOG or Steam over EGS.
I will enjoy continuing to not use Epic. I am pretty stoked on the idea of Galaxy coming to Linux though. I have a pretty big GoG library and I used to like the client back in my Window time.
I can already get GOG *and* Epic with Heroic. A little late to start caring now with a vague "soon," in my humblest of opinions.
I think I'll stick with Heroic xD
