In a game of CBR+PNK, I had the corpo sponsor of the player's Racing team threaten to kill a player's rich father if they don't throw the race. This led to a hilariously convoluted plan to bypass the deal and then they said "plus if they kill my dad, I'm getting that insurance policy" Amazing

In the first game I set in Camellia, patron was a wizard who tried (and failed) to become the god of magic, and his goal, was to stop one of his other patronates from becoming effectively immortal (and potentially a minor patron himself) by making his mind a virus that inhabits magic items

But it was especially fun to play for me and my partner, because the patron ALSO was using their patronate's sight to check in on my partner's character, who was an immortal with amnesia whom he loved, but the goddess of magic stopped from ever being with again.

For those familiar with the setting, the patron is Abensus, beloved of the Lawcaster, Alviana Carter. The patronate he was trying to stop was Stymzulen! The party didn't manage to stop him, so that's why we have a group of folk that's "sentient magic item using a person to get around", aka Myzufect

Slowly revealing the tragedy of Abensus and Alviana through both her recovering memories and his actions through infrequent, scrabbling grasp on the use of his patronate's body was an EXTREMELY fun experience and I miss that table often

The wizard that is the main patron for my D&D campaign's party is looking to merge the waking world with the dream world, creating an eternally blissful realm of subconscious reality devoid of any "real" pain or suffering. Obviously there are Ethical Questions 🤣😈

LOL yeah, no problems At. All. But thank you! She's heavily based off of Madara / Obito from Naruto: the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan of plunging the whole world into mass-hypnosis and thus forcing a lasting peace into existence.

See, I *love* a good warlock/patron marriage pact. This is always so fun as a concept to me. Not least because there's several ways you *could* approach it -- like, there's the actually-in-love and fairly sweet/tame route, & then there's the "oh this is some fucked up toxic relationship shit" route.

(Personally I would prefer the tamer/actually-in-love route, because I think it's *adorable*, but I have for sure seen people take The Messy Route™️)
