So pleased that you had a lovely evening ❤️
I'm feeling like you, I think Kit looks tired, he always seems to be working, I guess we just hope he's happy and doing what he loves to do.
Enjoy your day 💞
Thank you! You can always put it into words better than I could. But that's exactly it! 🥰😘
🥹❤️
He had a few days “off” for HS promo, then went straight back to Elden Ring to finish that. I would be exhausted if I were him.
The diet he’s currently on, which he mentioned in Royal Court, is very high in protein and not much else. It is certainly not designed to bring joy to your life.
What it is aimed at achieving is building muscle mass and getting body fat down to single digits. That’s probably why he has to drink coffee to keep his energy up, and I don't blame Kit for sneaking in that bit of chocolate!
A friend of Spouse does bodybuilding competitions on a very similar diet…
… and during the competition lead-up he is miserable and has problems functioning/working; he has so little energy.
And no, I don’t know why he keeps on doing them…
(I have so many thoughts about this, and masculine beauty standards, etc but they need several sides of A4…)
Hi! First of all: I'm so happy to see you here!
Secondly! Thank you! So interesting because it's a different take. But you've definitely hit the nail on the head for me. I've been thinking about it all day, why Kit's involvement with Marvel doesn't really make me happy.
Body standards are a big part of it. By the way, for both women and men. Not much diversity to be seen, is there?
Thirdly, I saw that he was criticized for seeming tired and uninvolved in the Heartstopper Forever promo. His diet and the stress of filming Elden Ring could be understandable reasons.
To be honest, I still couldn't quite get it. He answers questions more often than Joe and is often the first to become unserious. I didn't find him any less engaged than Joe. But that's just my opinion.
Love to hear yours. 💜💜💜
💜 I need to go to bed now, but will make a note to return to this tomorrow!

💜 I mean, this is a much broader problem in Hollywood/media at large[0], but the way I look at it, FWIW, is that Kit doesn't have to take this role…
[0] Again, I have many thoughts
…and he's been around the block enough times now that he has an idea about what this is going to involve
Also he’s probably spoken to people (eg Joe) before signing anything about what to expect.
Hope you have such a lovely day Bea ❤️❤️
Thanks Cody! ❤️❤️ I've had a relaxing day so far. I'm going to a friend's birthday party later, and we're having a barbecue beforehand. We're trying to enjoy the summery weather as much as possible while it lasts!
Hey Bea 💜💜
Concert> OMG that is awesome! Hopefully it wasn’t too hot as well?
Kit> I have a bunch of thoughts about this which I will add below, but in essence if he’s happy, that’s the main thing (although given how he doesn’t seem to vibe with press junkets etc I was a touch surprised!)
Morning Bea, glad you had a good night 💙
I think it’s obvious I’m excited for him to be Cyclops 😅 But I do get the worry for Kit. it’s going to be a lot of attention and that hasn’t always been kind to him.
But he has always wanted this. Kit wants to be the biggest actor he can be and this is it
Thanks! 💙 I agree 100% with the first part, but I'm not sure about the last sentence. There are a lot of people, film geeks, who don't consider having a role in a Marvel franchise the greatest achievement an actor can attain. Personally, I'm also rather tired of reboot after reboot.
When Kit has talked about his role models so far, it's been more along the lines of something else entirely. But that probably sounds more negative than I mean it; it will also increase his fame and market value and make him interesting to other directors and projects. I'm happy for him!
There’s plenty of people who would say him being in Heartstopper disqualifies him from being a “serious actor”. People will of course feel the same about Marvel 🤷♂️
You’re right this is more a fame/money success but lots of Marvel actors have used that to do more of those prestige roles and art films
Yes, I agree. But in Heartstopper he also proved his talent, that blend of masculinity and vulnerability. And he has many more roles in the pipeline that demonstrate his versatility.
I don't think he's joining Marvel for the money, but rather because it opens new doors for him.
To me those are the same thing (money opens lots of doors) but ultimately I don’t see how this limits him considering how much he wants to work. He’s certainly not selling out or something.
The biggest negative beyond being tired by how many roles he gets is possible scheduling conflicts and Marvel seems to make that easy for Florence Pugh, Elizabeth Olsen, and more.
I agree. I recently read an article which said that things had been made easier, particularly for Florence Pugh. I’m not sure whether everyone now enjoys that privilege.
I’ve been wondering why – if at all – we Europeans weren’t quite so enthusiastic about Kit’s decision.
Could it be that (and please take generalisations with a pinch of salt) cinema, for us, isn’t just American cinema, and that, in our experience, figures and money don’t necessarily reflect artistic value? Are we perhaps a bit snobbish? 🤔😆
Morning Bea! Personally I love the idea of Cyclops Kit. He seems great for the role. I love x-men, so excited for this reboot! Have a great start to your weekend ❤️🧡😘
Hi Lee! Happy Saturday!
You have such a big heart; I'm always amazed by how many things can excite you. 😍 I'm a simple girl, a little bit of Heartstopper, a little bit of Schitt's Creek—and that almost is it! 🤣
I'm obv happy for Kit, it seems like it's a big deal.
I hope he has a lot of fun with the role and that he gets kind and great reviews! 🤞
Have a lovely and relaxing weekend! ❤️❤️😘
