This picture is among my "firsts". First to use a big lens (my brothers) on my first full frame camera (bought second hand). My first time to capture herons in the nest, and learning the greater the distance away, the better for the birds.

That’s a very symbolic shot Brian. I think your last observation is very important; we should never harass a bird for a shot, especially when nesting
