It’s that time of the year to post this again. Alevels are important, I won’t argue that. They get you into university and I loved my time there but the results aren’t everything.

Kathryn Wild Writer · 0 · 1d ago Too many years ago to count, I picked up my results, and every subject was under my estimated grades. I broke into tears, thought I’d ruin everything, lost my uni place, had my mum run out of a meeting as I told her she didn’t need to come. It was not my best day.
Kathryn Wild Writer · 0 · 1d ago But hours later, I had a university place, I went, I got my degree, my pace, I taught in this country and abroad, I came back to the UK and got good jobs and I’m now doing what I’m passionate about in writing.
