Quick question - Does a monorail or tram stamp qualify for a railway themed stamp collection?

A lot of urban railway fans don't consider monorail to be an effective nor practical mode of transit. It's novelty Gadget Bahn, the guideway is too big, switches are really clunky, & there is no standard. Also, they are all proprietary, good luck when the manufacturer closes or stops supporting it.
The only time I believe Ive seen a monorail in action was on that episode of the Simpsons, I didn't know about the tech being proprietary, thanks for the info.
Funny you ask that. I was debating this after reading a couple of your posts.
I think they rank as trains, or trainesque. Or train adjacent. Trams are simply trains on short routes, in my opinion.
Yes for monorail and, as a lot of trams have 'railway-like' and old railway sections on their routes, I'd say the same for them...

It's a super common issue....
Imagine though...why wouldn't a tram stamp be a subset (bare minimum) of a train collection...it seems right on the mark with a flair for nuance.
