In the lower left quadrant, a wooden giraffe sculpture appears to have come to life, raising its head up for a curious peek and perhaps even a walkabout from its permanent home on the carousel. It seems to be gazing to the left and above the camera. The perspective gives an appearance that the giraffe has already stepped away from its permanent mounting and an ornately carved and gilded antique white finish of the center scenic panels. The background displays two large, oval mirrors in the top center of each panel. Their gilded frames are each fitted with 10 light bulbs. Floral reliefs appear to blossom from the wall to encircle each frame. Winged cherubs and scroll works sit beneath the mirrors for the full circumference of the inner panels. Light bulbs run along the edges above and beneath the mirrors, and the surfaces of every beam of the wooden frame. The mirrors display reflections from the windows of the enclosure and the grounds beyond. ###
