Im Gegensatz zu Ihrem KI-Foto der "Solarfarm vor Gran Canaria im Mittelmeer" 😉 klingt das hier durchaus echt 🙂
This is great.
But its not the achievement it sounds like.
We could have already been at 100% renewable like 20 years ago...
By not making that advancement from fossile fules, humanity is just plainly said, committing suicide.
We need to work with nature, not against it.
In the beginning of the afternoon solar now hits just over 75% of the total electricity generated in Spain
But solar doesn’t generate any on demand electricity so it’s not clear how these claims keep getting made.
Spain: 75% of the total, so much that wind turbines are being curtailed, 2.5GW is being used to recharge pumped hydro (which can be used for on demand generation) and over 3GW is being exported
When solar is less (for example in February), wind is not being curtailed and is used together with hydro
