It's #ThrowbackThursday, May 2011, and here's Mr Farnsworth, who just appeared out of nowhere one day. None of the neighbors recognized him or knew where he'd come from, and he ended up staying with us for the next 10 years.

A large scruffy-looking long-haired white cat sits on the crumbling edge of a porch. Possibly he's trying to figure out how to get someone to take him in, but not the way they tried to earlier in the spring, when there was a tornado warning and that siren kept going off and there were too many other cats to count gathered in the basement. That was just too much and he'd rather take his chances with the big winds, thank you very much. But maybe a nice quiet room with a little food and a clean litter box? That would suit him. He really wasn't meant for the outdoors. He seemed very happy with his room with the big windows, TV, music, & endless supply of cat toys, even if it meant his human gave him medicine and took him to the vet a lot (he was FHV+ and eventually needed treatment for hyperthyroidism, then diabetes).
