Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is: #UnusualPlaces Alt: #SereneBirdScene I was surprised to see a Seychelles bulbul on the ceiling of a restaurant.

The Seychelles red-billed bulbul is an endemic species found exclusively on the granite islands of the Seychelles (the so-called inner islands) in the Indian Ocean. Photo: A Seychelles red-billed bulbul is perched on a thick wooden beam, seen in profile to the left. The bird has olive-green to greyish plumage, a distinctive, pointed, bright orange-red beak, and orange legs and feet with strong claws. The crown of its head features slightly raised, dark feathers. In the background, further wooden beams and a light-coloured thatched roof can be seen.
