Yeah, do not disagree. Perhaps a product of its time? It's a perspective I'd never quite heard articulated like that. At any rate, it's an excuse for posting songs about gossip. Probably won't be many that are like, "Look at all of these rumors surrounding me every day ... AND THAT'S GOOD ACTUALLY."
