I saw that comment under the video. Sadly it was a common occurrence and all songwriters and singers from that era have very similar stories. Just to note that The Clarendonians wouldn't have received any royalties from that song either.

I'm sure the majority of them never saw anything like what they should have been paid for their efforts. It's an age old story all jobbing musicians have to deal with. The love they put into their music always wins out in the end though. The money is nice, but if its in you its going to come out.
