For #ThrowbackThursday, here's a pic from Musée du Quai Branly in #Paris. This is a 20th century apasa mask for a Yoruban Gelede cermony.

A wooden mask with black paint. It has two long projections from the back, like long horns, a black band across the top of the head, and black rays coming out of the neck on the collar. The eye holes have white light shining through them.
