Sweeping ancestral crumbs up from the floor, I carried the dustpan to the garbage bin. As aggressions against others, dust-crusted bits of identity fraud, petty larceny, child and spousal abuse rolled off like marbles. In counting the crimes committed I discovered the most significant among them was missing. Genocide. I knew for a fact it has long riddled the DNA that spawned me. Where did it go? Please do not tell me one certainty must quietly disappear. I do not believe for a second it is gone. Just look at this world; you find it is everywhere.
