#scape #ForestFriday It was the interesting shape of the trunk that got my attention. Right off the walking path, it stood out. I still wonder how that curve was formed. This tree has a story to tell!

It's also not the only one. There are other trunks around it that show similar curves. I wonder what's going on in this forest?

Storms? Lightning? We'll never know. I've seen lightning-struck trees, and it always leaves scars behind. I don't see scars here, only interesting oddness.

It almost looks like it was split in two very early in its growth and should have grown as two trees, rather than one. I've never seen anything quite like it! 😀

Yes, or perhaps (am clutching at straws here) a fallen tree was resting on it so it had to take a trunk detour? It's fascinating!
