I haven’t made a soufflé in years, but I think it’s time to rectify that! This is something my daughter will love. Thanks GP. BTW, Jacques Pepin is my favorite as well. He has superb technique and expertise, but the earthiness not often evidenced in others. 🩵🥣🩵

I have many of his books, and love his teaching videos. He’s just the best, and I’d love to share a meal with him — one of the few chefs I can say that about. 🧡

I love him too, and I miss Julia she was the real thing. So many chefs are all hat no cattle now, more showmanship than substance. And the reality nonsense, boorish asses. Jacques is such an inspired teacher, and approachable, a practical guy. Rare anymore.

I stopped watching The Food Network and The Cooking Channel when it became less about food, and more about personalities, drama, games, angst, and competition. That just doesn’t appeal to me at all. Give me a just a good cook in a kitchen, and I love it.

I stream hours of PBS cooking, gardening, home improvement and travel. Though I see even they’re guilty of reality programming as of late. I find a good instructive so soothing. I wish they’d all stick to the formula. Make the food, sip the drink, enjoy the ride!

I’ve never had a soufflé. Is that a meal or appetizer? Your plate looks like a dinner meal. What do you do with leftovers? It looks easy to make, too. Have a great day, Goodport!

This is for a meal, and works well for brunch, lunch or dinner. It does taste like a giant cheese puff, but eggier and cheesier. I eat the leftovers for breakfast, just heating it in a skillet with an egg. It will have deflated a bit by then, but doesn’t change the delight.

🤣🤣🤣 That's what I thought. I had a wild mushroom risotto yesterday that was very rich and wonderfully delicious. Several forkfuls through, I said: "I wish GP could taste this because he would go home and whip up the recipe."
