Canadian corporations are facilitating oil exploration and drilling by a U.S. firm in Greenland – without approval by Greenland’s government.

The Canadian Government must not allow Canadian corporations and Canadian ports to play a role in helping the U.S. and U.S. corporations force oil exploration and drilling onto Greenland. But a “Greenland Energy representative has said a vessel carrying its 300 shipping containers of drilling equipment is to set sail from Canada on 12 September [2026]” from the Port of Valleyfield in Quebec.
