Image: A bouquet of roses. Two orange and one red on the bottom, two yellow ones in the middle, above the yellow, two white ones, then another orange and partial red roses. Text of the poem: For the Love of a Flower Find you not it remarkable, perhaps a little mysterious, even magical, the array of blooms, which adorn this earth we inhabit, the structure, colour, fragrance of each, dissimilar to the other from whence did they have their genesis, how was their number ordered, their colour palette decided, scent conjured yes, yes, I’m aware of the science of Botany, but that deals in facts … I seek more each time I gaze into the face of a flower, again I am intrigued, captured, entranced like a Siren of the ocean, their allure is compelling, yet, it is not into danger they beckon, rather into glorious rapture of the wonders of nature flowers are nature’s love on display - I fall every time © Aj d’Wit - 15 August 2026
