This let him fit in well with the other servo-bots and avoid suspicion. Erwin and his allies were monitoring things and knew Landgraab was looking into the explosion but they had little to go on. They had little choice but to bury the site to avoid federal investigation and nosy reporters. (2/7)

They knew viruses had wiped out data on the project so they most likely suspected sabotage from a rival corporation, an eco-terrorist group, or disgruntled employee. Flux and Grim were believed to be fully under the control of the scientists. (3/7)

A possible risk was the engineer that had helped Flux. If she were interrogated she might reveal Flux had been made more independent. Flux and Erin searched for her and found an obituary she had died in an accident. However the circumstances were odd. (4/7)

More likely the accident had been arranged by the Project or she had faked her own death to escape them. Flux hoped it was the latter and that she was okay. Either way it seemed unlikely there would be any risk there. (5/7)

So, as long as he and Grim kept a low profile, they should be okay. Erwin had also anonymously posted a few subtle suggestions online that might lead Landgraab investigators to believe Halcomm Inc, in San MyShuno, was behind the sabotage. (6/7)

They were rivals dealing in genetic work. Landgraab had stolen a large military contract from them using a spy so they had reason to have a grudge. In the meantime Flux had a new project; helping Erwin uncover a sinister military secret involving an alien plant taking over Strangerville. (7/7)

I wonder why they did not use the tinfoil hat that actually exists in the unlocked items but then again the colander hat is pretty fun 🤭

Thanks! It was either that or send her to Britechester to live and then she would have been on her own. I think Erwin will be more comfortable with her then people. They work well together as you said.
